As many of you know, we (Maritza and I) have handled most of the day to day operation of this business ourselves for years now. Other than the day of event help that we hire such as security or bar staff, it is usually us that you are dealing with. Things are going to be changing in 2020 though as we plan to add another full time member to our team!
With other opportunities presented to us to expand our horizons, we are going to be looking to hire somebody to help run the day to day operations of this business to allow us more time to pursue these opportunities. Don't worry, we aren't going anywhere, we still plan to be involved in the business but to allow for more time for us, we are going to bring on another person. This is going to be a salaried, year round/full time position with potential to make some pretty incredible bonuses as long as your goals are met.
The person that we will hire will absolutely be someone that will put our couples first. The person that we hire WILL show up to work on time, be self motivated, won't be afraid of breaking a sweat, can clean a toilet, mop a floor or wash a window. This person will also be versatile and help someone with pinning on a boutonniere or helping carry items from a guest's car. You will meet with new potential couples to show the property as well as meet with already booked brides to make sure all the details are worked out for their day. You will be responsible for all phone call, email and text message correspondence as well as dozens of other important things I haven't even mentioned. Oh yes, don't let me forget, you MUST be willing to work weekends. As in, every weekend for 6 months straight. Don't worry though, the other 6 months of the year gives you a chance to relax and hibernate during the winter months, for the most part.
The bottom line is you MUST be a reliable, hard working, energetic, fun, polite, passionate, caring, trustworthy person who loves life and loves to make other people happy. This is a very important day for many people and we want someone who is going to put in nothing but an A effort to exceed expectations. Preferably but not necessarily, the person that we will hire will have some experience in the wedding industry, has hosted events for a living or has been in the hospitality industry in some way. The bottom line is you have to be driven and goal oriented.
We will be looking at a start date of mid March, 2020. You might be asking yourself, "umm, that's a long ways out, why advertise now?". Well, the answer to that is simple. We are VERY serious about hiring "THE ONE" that will put our couples upon a pedestal and leave no doubt that they chose the right venue when they chose Willow Creek. We feel that we have only scratched the surface of what our venue has the capability of becoming despite the fact that we have already been in this business since the early 2000's .
